The company that I work for, SugarCRM, is celebrating its 8th birthday today, as well as a grand opening of the new(old) building after a remodel! Did I mention we're hiring! (tell em Dave sent ya!)
Happy Birthday SugarCRM! Love the parties we throw, and there is always good eats and drinks! Here are some of the photos from the event! (click on em to embiggen)

Maker David A. Mellis created a awesome speaker project called Fab speakers. Over on his site you can see examples of the project, not yet a kit, and even download all the files to create your own set!
Maker Sarah Pease did just that and she designed her own version, made out of mason and jelly jars! Simply Amazing! Check out Sarah's page here for her take on David's project.
If you craft your own set, shoot me an email with a pic or two of the finished project and I'll include it in this post!

Over at the Al Jazeera English they have a great 38 min video about the maker and open source movement around the world as well as interviews with both Dale Dougherty founder of Make Magazine and Bre Pettis one of the founders of Makerbot Industries.
It's a great piece about how others are using the technology of 3D printing, and they even do a in studio print using a Makerbot Replicator!
